Day 8 Delhi – Cochin – Periyar
Fly to Cochin and continue by road to Periyar. Overnight Hotel

Day 9 Periyar – Kumarakom
After breakfast, we leave for ‘safari cruise’ on Lake Periyar, we slip slowly through the animals jungle enviroment. Afternoon we travel to Kumarakom. Overnight Hotel

Day 10 In Kumarakom
Morning at leisure. Afternoon our houseboat will pick us up. There is the opportunity to spend an unforgettable afternoon and overnight cruising at a leisurely pace through Kerala's superb backwaters scenery in a private houseboat. Overnight Houseboat.

Day 11 Alleppey – Kovalam
Morning we disembark the houseboat at Alleppey and travel by road to Kovalam. Overnight Hotel

Day 12 In Kovalam
Day at leisure to relax on the beach. Overnight Hotel

Day 13 Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Madurai
We drive to Madurai, en route visit Sree Padmanabhapuram Palace in Kanyakumari. Overnight Hotel

Day 14 In Madurai
Full day sightseeing visits including the vast Meenakshi Temple, dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side). Also visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace, a gracious building in the Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stuccowork on its domes & arches. There is also an extensive museum dedicated to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi. Evening we enjoy Sound and light show at Tirumala Nayak Palace and later we leave to witness Aarti ceremony at Meenakshi Temple. Overnight Hotel

Day 15 Madurai – Mumbai
Fly Mumbai and relax in the hotel till afternoon. Post lunch visit Marine Drive (formerly known as the Queen’s Necklace during the British rule), Albert museum and the Hanging gardens. Evening « Tonga » ride (Horse drawn carriage) along the sea shore. Evening transfer to the airport to board your homebound flight.
